Filming on director Rob Marshall’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES began a couple of weeks ago in Hawaii, and a couple of candid on-set shots have cropped up online, courtesy of gossip site PopSugar. Below you’ll see Johnny Depp Sparrowing it up once more (is it me or has he got a bit of a paunch in that second shot?). Next to him you’ll also notice actor Kevin McNally returning as Gibbs, as well as director Marshall himself. Not the most interesting photos in the world, but I guess they’re something. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES opens May 20, 2011. Rush reprises his role as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa, and Kevin R. McNally returns as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs.
