Island Trails – Hapapa Direct [GoPro POV]

Hiking to the top of Pu’u Hapapa on February 27th, 2011 on Oahu, Hawaii. There are multiple ways to get to the top of Pu’u Hapapa. This hike consists of a steep climb up the most direct ridge to the 2883 foot peak. Much of the trail is extremely overgrown, especially on the initial portion of the ridge. Evidence of weathered and old anchored webbing along the ridge proved that it had been done before, however, it was obvious that the ridge receives very little — if not any — hiker traffic.
