Japanese-American internment was the forced relocation and internment by the United States government in 1942 of approximately 110000 Japanese Americans and Japanese residing along the Pacific coast of the United States to camps called “War Relocation Camps,” in the wake of Imperial Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor. The internment of Japanese Americans was applied unequally throughout the United States. Japanese Americans residing on the West Coast of the United States were all interned, whereas in Hawaii, where more than 150000 Japanese Americans composed over a third of that territory’s population, 1200 to 1800 Japanese Americans were interned. Of those interned, 62% were American citizens. Ref: en.wikipedia.org Music: m0d by Idlemode
