“Hawaii Five-O” – Behind The Scenes – Making Of A Television Series

Filimg on location means closing down the streets, taking over a location (in this video, this time it is the Pancake House in Ala Moana/Kakaako District). Since “Hawaii Five-O” film crew came to my working-place back door, I took the opportunity to make a video of the film crew (and hoping to see Grace Park ;] ) as they closed down Hopaka Street to local traffic, and set up the equipment, adjust the temperature of the lighting, and then clearing our the area after filming was done. Filming was done INSIDE the Pancake House, so this video is only about the setting up and what it takes to make a dramatic television episode. Also included other actual location, as well as some highlights of locations seen on the hit TV series “Hawaii Five-O” by CBS Studios.

Joining McGarrett is Detective Danny Danno Williams (Scott Caan), a newly relocated ex-New Jersey cop who prefers skyscrapers to the coastline but is committed to keeping the Islands safe for his 8-year-old daughter; and Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim), an ex-Honolulu Police Detective wrongly accused of corruption and relegated to a federal security patrol, who is also a former protégé of McGarretts father. Chins cousin, Kono (Grace Park), is a beautiful and fearless native, fresh out of the academy and eager to establish herself among the departments elite.
