“Mokulua Islands” The Hawaii Series-Conservation through Art

The Hawaii Series- Conservation through Art The Hawaii series is dedicated to sharing the natural beauty of Hawaii as well as connecting art and conservation. Most of the inspiration for my art comes from the natural world, so in return I am giving a portion of the proceeds of all sales of prints and originals to land conservation, specifically in the area from which the series is inspired from, (in this case, Hawaii). This painting is of the Mokulua Islands, off the windward (east) coast of Oahu. The islands are nicknamed the “twin islands”, or “the Moks”, and have been a favorite for photographers for many years since they are so unique and close to shore. They are about 3/4 mile off beautiful Lanikai Beach or Kailua Beach. The islands are are part of the Hawaii State Seabird Sanctuary and you can kayak there as a day trip and hike around.
