Justin POV I trudged through the snow on my way home from school. More flakes started to fall. I shrugged deeper into my coat and pulled my scarf closer around me. The mid-decmeber air nipped at my nose. I finally reached my house. I stomped some of the snow from my boots at the doorstep and stepped inside. The warmth of the house hit my face. I peeled of my coat and sweaters a layer at a time and hung them in the closet. My mom had left a note saying she was at the grocrey store and she would be back by 5. I made myself some cocoa and sat down with my english homework. Finally I put it away and started shoveling the driveway before Mom got back. Emma POV The plane ride was long. I was leaving my precious beach, my precious Hawaii,my precious home. Off to Canada with snow, snow, snow. To a half sister that doesn’t care for me. Tears burned in my eyes but I remembered what my mom said. Be strong for me. I tried to be strong. I had to be —- I unpacked my sister had gone to hang out with her boyfriend or something. I had a small room in my sister’s small cottage type house. I put on my bedspread and hung my curtains. My sister told me to feel free to do it any way I wanted as she walked out the door so i did. My bedspread was a bright yellow and so were my curtains. Yellow is one of my favorite colors. I hung pictures of my big beautiful beach. I love taking pictures.
