The 7-acre, 3-Star Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff cascades
down a spectacular lava rock bluff overlooking the Pacific
Ocean. With its white stucco walls and flat roofs, the
two wings of the condominium are terraced deeply into
the bluff, creating an illusion of it being a single story,
instead of the seven it is.
In between the wings is an outdoor atrium with waterfalls,
cascading stream, lush tropical greenery and benches to
enjoy the stunning views. On either side of the condo
are lawn terraces, a barbeque area and always, the view.
The air conditioned condos are extremely spacious, as
well as the furnished patios or lanais, all with either
garden or ocean views. The rooms are decorated in an island-style,
with many furnishings wicker or rattan. All of the units
include a fully equipped kitchen as well as a washer/dryer.
Amenities include Cable/Satellite TV, voice mail, iron/board,
clock radio, hair dryer on request, child care (fee) in-room
safe (fee), microwave, dishwasher, dataport and more.
Children 17 years and younger are free when accompanied
by their parents and using existing bedding. All units
are nonsmoking.
There is no restaurant or bar on site, but the Royal Sea
Cliff is only 1 mile south of Kona where there are many
restaurants of for every ethnic cuisine. But not only
do many visitors choose a condominium over a hotel because
they are often less crowded and quieter, but you can enjoy
many of your meals "at home", whether it's breakfast,
lunch or dinner.
Think dining outside on your lanai sipping on a glass
of wine and watching the sun go down. Or in the winter
months, watching the Humpback Whales wander by on their
annual migration to the Hawaiian Islands from Alaska. At the Royal Sea Cliff, you can even
grill your own hamburgers or steaks and enjoy an al fresco
meal. Best of all, you will save money and can use those
savings for a special excursion or a romantic dinner for
two. Costco, Wal-Mart and Safeway Grocery are in the Kona
area as well as other smaller grocery/food outlets.
Property amenities include two tennis courts; whirlpool
spas and sauna; two ocean front swimming pools with sundecks,
one freshwater and one saltwater; barbeque grills and
picnic area; Island Explorer Program for children staying
at least three nights; weekly schedule of onsite cultural
activities and so much more. And for something special,
look for the cabana and gazebo located at the end of the
property overlooking the ocean - a perfect place to watch
the sun set.
While there is no beach as such at the condo (the Big
Island is mostly lava along this coastline) there is a
wonderful swimming and snorkeling area just about 1 or
2 miles away, called Kahaluu Beach Park and well worth
a visit. You might even be able to swim with a Hawaiian
Green Turtle or two, but definitely can enjoy the sand
beach and the usually calm waters.
