We're coming to Oahu in July and are wondering where to stay. We'd like to stay somewhere pretty nice. Nice rooms, good service, etc. are important to us. Any help is appreciated!

Aloha Ron,

Here are some nice high-end hotel options for you:

http://myhawaiivacationpackage.com/oahu-hotels/the-kahala-hotel-and-resort.html
The Kahala Hotel is one of, if not the best, on Oahu. It used to be called the Kahala Mandarin Oriental but they recently changed the name. I've stayed there and it is very luxurious and the beach is nice too. They have a "swim with the dolphins" program there which is a lot of fun.

The Royal Hawaiian is also know as the "Pink Palace." It's one of the original hotels in Waikiki (from the 20's) and is still quite historic and glamorous.

The Sheraton Moana Surfrider is another one of my favorites. It's another one of the first hotels in Waikiki, which you can tell by its stark white Victorian architecture. It's also a historic hotel which some folks like and some don't. If it was me, I'd get a room in the newer tower, as the older "historic" wing has small rooms and in some cases seems kind of worn down. (That's from personal experience.)

I hope my suggestions help you. If they're not what you're looking for or if you have any questions please let me know.

Aloha,
