Castle Resort's Lanikai Resort is simply a beautiful
Kauai beachfront property. With manicured
lawns, lush tropical gardens and sweeping ocean views,
it is a place of magical beauty. There are just 18 units
in two three-story buildings offering guest maximum privacy
and that ever elusive, peace. There are no elevators,
but it would be well worth the walk up to the second or
third floor for views that are absolutely stunning, including
panoramic sunrises and during the winter months, the yearly
migration of the Humpback Whales on their way to Maui.
The one and two bedroom units are decorated in island
style, extremely spacious and feature fully equipped kitchens
and lanais overlooking the lush gardens, the sandy beachfront
and the ocean. The kitchen features a full size refrigerator/freezer,
oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender
and dishwasher. Amenities include two phones, washer/dryers,
VCRs and CD players, ceiling fans, wet bar, Cable TV and
more.
Property amenities include a swimming pool overlooking
the beach, picnic area, barbeque grills and complimentary
newspapers in the lobby. There is no on-site restaurant,
but the quaint town of Kapa'a is within walking distance. The town is home to many boutique
shops offering unusual gift items and some really good
restaurants. More shops, restaurants and even a small
movie theatre are also within walking distance at the
Coconut Plantation Marketplace. Or, you can simply buy
some things to grill and have a picnic on the beach.
The location is ideal for seeing all that Kauai has to
offer, which includes many arhcaeological sites well worth
visiting, Waimea Canyon, Koke'e State Park, the various
waterfalls, or even rent a kayak and paddle up the Wailua
River, the only navagible river in Hawaii, hike to a waterfall,
have a picnic, then paddle back. The Royal Coconut Coast
is 8-miles of sandy beaches, so if strolling barefoot
in the surf as the moon rises is your idea of what a vacation
should be, then the Lanikai Resort is for you.
