The 3-Star Outrigger at Lae nani is located on Kauai's
eastern shore, nestled on a beautiful beachfront, with
sweeping lawns to the sand, coconut trees and lush gardens
surrounding the low rise condominiums in a very serene
setting. There are 58 condos in several 3 story walk-up
buildings, most with stunning views of the ocean. There
is even an ocean pool created from natural stones where
you can relax in rejuvenating sea water of the Pacific.
The condos feature spacious one bedroom with one-and-a-half
bath and two bedrooms with two baths. They are completely
furnished and include kitchens and large, private patios
or lanais. And while it might be a slight trek to climb
the stairs, the views alone will be well worth it. The
décor varies between the units, but all include VCRs,
Cable TV, pay-for-view movies and CD players. Kitchens
are fully equipped with stove top and oven, microwave,
refrigerator,coffee/tea maker, dishwasher, cookware and
tableware.
Other amenities include a stereo system, alarm clock radio,
direct dial telephone, answering machine, complimentary
in-room safe, daily maid service, hair dryer, iron and
board and are breeze-cooled by ceiling fans, with no air
conditioning. Children 17 and younger are free when staying
in the same room as their parents and using existing bedding.
There is a minimum 2-night stay required.
Property amenities include complimentary parking, nearby
golf courses, coin-operated laundry, dry cleaning/valet
service and luggage storage. There is a large oceanfront
swimming pool, surrounded by a sundeck and a very broad
lawns, where you can idle away as much time as you like,
watching the clouds go by or watching the waves roll in.
If you want to be more active, there are lighted tennis
courts and the ocean, which offers opportunities to snorkel,
swim or boogie board. The Outrigger at Lae nani also has
barbeque grills and a picnic area - picture grilling steaks
and eating out under the stars while gazing out at the
ocean - this is one reason why Hawaii is called Paradise.
While there are no restaurants at the condominium, the
property is very close to The Coconut Marketplace, ideal
to pick up some souvenirs, take in a movie or enjoy one
of the many restaurants. A short drive away is the charming
town of Kapa'a, known for its good restaurants and charming
boutiques offering everything from art to clothes to jewelry,
much of it very unique.
Many people prefer condos over a hotel, mainly because
they save money on eating out all the time, using that
money saved for various adventures and attractions. For
some reason, cooking breakfast or dinner while looking
out to the ocean with warm tropical breezes blowing and
palm trees swaying is much more fun to do than at home.
There is both a Wal-Mart and a Safeway Grocery Store in
Lihue, where you can stock up on essentials, items to
barbeque, snacks to nibble on and perhaps some beer and
wine to sip while sitting on your lanai watching the sun
set.
Kauai is simply a beautiful island, voted by Travel &
Leisure Magazine as the second best island in the world.
It doesn't have much night life, so if that is what you
are looking for, you might want to choose another island,
such as Oahu or Maui. It does have peace, it does have
serenity and it does have some of the most spectacular
scenery in the world. From Waimea Canyon State Park to
the Na Pali Coast and from the Wailua River to Hanalei,
it would be difficult to find a more beautiful spot on
earth.
So come to Kauai - explore the island and discover for
yourself what everyone is talking about.
