The 5-star Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay is
surrounded by lavish gardens on the sleepy little island
of Lanai, where often time seems to stand still. Situated
along the cliffs above the beach, the Manele Bay is a
resort of unimagined luxury and beauty. With the white
sand beach and the blue waters of the Pacific, the views
are breathtaking.
Manela Bay has 236 luxurious rooms and suites, with the
standard room 576 sq. ft. They are beautifully decorated
with tropical themes and a private terrace or balcony.
The beds come with quilted duvets, down pillows and quality
linens. Bathrooms feature marble double sinks, a deep
marble soaking tub and 100% cotton oversized bath towels.
Room amenities include a 40" plasma screen cable
TV, high-speed internet access (fee), CD and DVD players,
dual-line telephone, complimentary daily newspaper, thick
terry bathrobes and so much more.
Restaurants include the main dining room, Hulopo'e Court,
open for buffet breakfast and dinner with stunning ocean
views. Ihilani is open for dinner from Tues. to Sat.,
featuring contemporary Italian cuisine. The Ocean Grill
features local seafood in an al fresco oceanfront
setting. They serve casual lunches during the day and
continue with the seafood feast in the evening. The Challenge
at Manele Clubhouse features cliff-side dining with island-influenced
cuisine for lunch or late afternoon snacks. There is also
a choice of dining at the Manele Bay's sister hotel, The
Lodge at Koele.
The swimming pool has lovely views of the ocean and adjacent
to the pool are two whirlpools and a pool bar. There are
three outdoor tennis courts, American and British croquet
with complimentary equipment, an executive putting course,
horseback riding (fee) at Koele and a 14-station sporting
clay course and archery range (fee), also at Koele.
The Fitness Center features a state-of-the-art gym with
The Spa offering signature treatments and massages, to
mention a few. There are 11 treatment rooms including
red cedar dry heat saunas and eucalyptus steam rooms.
There is a Teen Center and the supervised Kids for All
Season program (fee) offering a full range of organized
activities for children aged 5 to 12 years. Also children
receive a welcome amenity, child size bathrobes and more.
If you are a golfer, there is the 7,039-yard par 72 golf
course at Manele called The Challenge and for a very good
reason. High above the crashing surf of Hulopo'e Bay,
The Challenge is an unbelievably beautiful course, designed
by Jack Nicklaus.
Walk down to the beach and you'll often find yourself
swimming where dolphins play throughout the year and see
Humpback whales passing by on their annual migration to
the islands during the winter months. Use the complimentary
Snorkel equipment to snorkel among Hawaiian Green Sea
turtles and colorful tropical fish or explore the tide
pools nearby to see Sea Cucumbers, Sea Stars and other
mysterious looking creatures of the sea.
Or, you could just laze in a comfortable beach chair with
an umbrella at the pool or on the beach, where the staff
is always ready to bring you complimentary water, lemonade,
fresh pineapple and even popsicles and cool towels to
refresh yourself. Read a book, stroll the beach, swim
laps in the pool, snorkel or just watch the clouds go
by. Whatever you choose to do, it will be magical, because
this is truly a magical resort.
