A film project done for a course I’ve taken ‘The Politics of Film’. The motive behind this short documentary was to highlight the stereotypes and tackle discrimination against Micronesians in Hawaii. With all the negative connotations associated with the term “Micronesian” the bigotry and low tolerance towards this group appears to be a common nature among Hawaii citizens. Due to the influx of immigrants here in the Aloha State, an important question that needs to be addressed is “do Micronesians deserve to be slammed?” A big shout out to Jason Adaniya — for the success of this project. I tip my hat to you for a job well done. Also, a special thank you to Joakim “Jojo” Peter, Monica Panuelo and Leonard Leon for your time and for contributing immensley to our project. Kilisou mi shapur.
