The ResortQuest Maui Ka'anapali Villas is like a home-away-from
home and the perfect place for a restful, relaxing vacation
for families and couples who want to be away from the
bustle and crowds of Lahaina. With 11 acres of lush tropical
gardens, the Villas are located on one of Maui's most beautiful beaches and during the winter, a perfect
spot for whale watching.
The air conditioned condo units are decorated in casual
island style and feature garden, ocean or ocean side views,
with lanais or patios. The rooms are extremely spacious
with average hotel room, 520 sq. ft. for the hotel room;
660 sq. ft. for the studio; and 1,260 sq. ft. for the
one bedroom and 1,760 sq. ft. for the 2 bedroom. The studios
and 1 and 2 bedrooms come with complete kitchens, perfect
for a family or group of friends.
Castaway Café is located beachfront between the two pools
and the ocean and offers one of the very best sunset views
looking toward Lanai and Molokai. Great place for an early morning breakfast, a relaxing
lunch and especially great for the perfect cocktail, sunset
and dinner. Castaways' specialties include Panang seafood
curry, quesadillas, coconut shrimp and other Pan Pacific
entrees. Wine lovers will enjoy the extensive wine list,
which won the restaurant an award in 1998 from Wine Spectator.
The Ka'anapali Villas have two swimming pools next to
each other close to the ocean, with a third pool tucked
away in a secluded spot. There are lawns all around for
sunning or simply to lounge on, or take advantage of the
large sun deck by the main pool. At their sister resort,
Ka'anapali Shores, 2 miles north, is Camp Ka'anapli which
provides morning and afternoon activities for children
ages 5 to 12. There is a one time registration fee of
$10 which includes a t-shirt and the daily rate of $25
per child includes meals.
There are five world class golf courses with 6 miles of
the resort and if you love tennis, be sure to bring your
racquet since public tennis centers are only one mile
away. The resort also has a beach activities center where
you can rent everything from snorkel sets and boogie boards
to small catamarans and windsurfers.
There is a free trolley that stops outside the hotel every
40 minutes and makes a loop all around the Ka'anapali
resort area and the bustling town of Lahaina is only a
short drive away. All in all, this is a great property,
offering relaxation and quiet, yet near enough to the
restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment that Lahaina
offers.
