The 2-Star Ocean Resort Hotel is an older budget property
located a block from Waikiki
Beach. While it does offer inexpensive
lodging and a wonderful location, it has not been renovated
lately so guests might find some of the rooms and furnishings
dated.It is casual and relaxed and many of the rooms
are quite spacious with nice views from the higher floors.
The property includestwo towers that are connected by a large sundeck
with two splash swimming pools on the 3rd floor.
The air conditioned rooms feature an island d�cor and
furnished lanai. Amenities include color Cable TV, mini
refrigerator, in-room safe (fee), voice mail, clock radio,
pay for view movies, video game system and one queen or
two twin beds and more.
Directly off the large lobby is the hotel's restaurant,
the Ocean Seafood & Steak House, serving breakfast,
lunch and dinner in a very casual atmosphere and featuring
such favorites as pork chops, burgers and pasta. There
is also the Punawai Lounge,
adjacent to the restaurant featuring daily drink specials,
karaoke and open from late afternoon to early morning.
The Ocean Resort Hotel's property amenities include internet
access and wireless internet service in the lobby (fee),
dry cleaning service, laundry room with an iron and board
available for guests, Activity Desk, sundry and gift shop,
ice machines and more.
The location is the star of this hotel with famed Waikiki
Beach a block away and beautiful
Kapiolani
Park about the same distance.
The park is home to the Waikiki Shell an outdoor concert
venue; the Waikiki Bandstand where music & dance are
peformed most Sundays; the Honolulu
Zoo and the Honolulu Aquarium, both worth a visit.
Note:
The Ocean Resort Hotel will become 100% smoke free by
November 1, 2006. The new policy applies to all guest
rooms, including balconies, restaurants, lounges, public
areas and meeting rooms. A designated smoking area will
be provided for guests that smoke. Tranforming
the hotel to smoke free is underway and the availability
of smoking rooms will decrease accordingly.
