The OHANA Waikiki Beachcomber is located in the heart
of Waikiki on Kalakaua Avenue. It is just steps to
Waikiki Beach, adjacent to the open-air International
Market Place (a great place to buy souvenirs to take back
home) and across the street from the Royal Hawaiian Shopping
Center, home to designer boutiques and multi-cultural
dining, including one of Waikiki's newer restaurant, The
Cheesecake Factory.
This is an older hotel and was recently taken over by
the well-known Outrigger/OHANA Hotel chain. Like all their
properties, the staff is well trained and service is always
impressive, whether at the more upscale Outrigger properties
or the OHANA properties. Family friendly, the Waikiki
Beachcomber is a perfect spot for those want a clean,
well run hotel at a reasonable price, especially with
such an ideal location.
The air conditioned guest rooms feature tropical d?cor, with white shutters for the sliding glass
doors and some rooms featuring ocean views. All rooms
include private lanais, refrigerators, voice mail, complimentary
toiletries, hair dryer, cable TV, complimentary high-speed
Internet access in most guest rooms and much more. The
hotel features family friendly accommodations, with children
17 years and younger free when staying with parents in
existing beds.
Effective December 22, 2006, the Waikiki OHANA Hotels
will introduce an incredible package of complimentary
amenities including internet access, local and long distance
phone calls to U.S. & Canada, in-room safe, in-room
coffee daily, local newspaper, digital pagers for early
check-in guests and Passes for all guests in the room
for up to 5 days, on the Waikiki Trolley's Pink Line throughout
Waikiki and to Ala Moana Shopping Center.
The hotel also offers wireless internet access in the
lobby, ample covered parking (fee), a swimming pool on
the third level with sun deck, spa tub, a sundries store
and for those who might have forgotten an item of clothing
to pack, there is a very nice Macy's on the ground floor,
with a good selection of clothing, makeup and other items,
including beachwear and aloha attire. The hotel's Hibiscus
Caf? is a casual outdoor spot,
open daily from 6 am to 1 pm for Continental or full breakfast
buffet and casual food for lunch
The Waikiki Beachcomber is also home to three entertaining
dinner shows, including the legendary Don Ho Show in the
Hoku Hale Theatre, the wonderful
Magic of Polynesia, featuring Hawaii's own well known
illusionist, John Hirokawa and
the acclaimed Elvis impersonator Jonathan Von Brana's
Blue Hawaii - The Show.
