Canoes at the Ilikai features American dining and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then there is Tanaka of Tokyo, a constant winner of Best Japanese Restaurant in Honolulu in a reader's choice poll, it features teppenyaki-style cooking (they cook, you watch) and is great fun for the whole family.

You can hop on The Bus and be in Ala Moana Center or Ward Center in just minutes, or go in the opposite direction and be in the heart of Waikiki in the same amount of time.
