A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Kauai, United States by TravelPod blogger Lafalot titled “Off to see the real Shamu!” Lafalot’s travel blog entry: “Just a brief note to post some picture. I went on a catamaran out in the Pacific (that in itself just amazes me) to go whale watching and see the Na’Pali coast of Kauai. Well, we saw whales. Whales here, whales there, whales everywhere. It was really exciting. These are the humpback whales that were once nearly extinct but apparently making a nice comeback. I spent time trying to take pictures at first, but then decided to just enjoy watching them and leave get pictures from a book. We sailed to the northern coast of Kauai, the Na’Pali coast. This is an amazing site. It is kind of like you are at the bottom of the Grand Canyon looking up. This is where they filmed Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park, among other movies. It looks surreal, so I can see why they selected this place.” Read and see more at: www.travelpod.com Photos from this trip: 1. “Blue Hawaii must refer to the water” 2. “Boat used for the tour” 3. “Fishies” 4. “King Kong” 5. “More scenery” 6. “Not at Sea World!” 7. “Still more” 8. “Still more Napali coast” 9. “Sunset from the boat” See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com
