While visiting Ke’e Beach in Kaua’i, Hawaii, we were snacking on some Goldfish crackers. My daughter accidentally dropped a few crackers in the sand and the wild chickens descended upon her immediately. Soon enough our little corner of the beach was overrun by scavenging local fowl, looking for handouts. I placed a Goldfish cracker atop the lens of my camera and waited for one of the braver roosters to come get it.
