Passionate Ping Pong Player Adam Bobrow

I love table tennis. After playing a tournament in Hawaii, I came back to LA and had a great match with top junior Ethan Chua at a tournament in Long Beach. I wanted to share some of the most entertaining points… to music that I love (Pigmoney). I hope to see more and more players joining teams leagues and would be happy to help. If you’re in the LA area, all levels are welcome and it’s co-ed. Come join the LATTF (www.LATTF.org) Otherwise, enjoy this video.

How could we resist filming our next video in the land of Aloha — beautiful beaches, green mountains, and fresh pineapple?? We went to our Founders and Facebook fans to ask what song they wanted us to play there. “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” was the nearly-unanimous response. But you know how we are … we couldn’t “just” do this tune by itself…so in the studio we found a made-in-heaven matchup in the timeless melody from the Shaker Hymn “Simple Gifts” written in the 1800’s (also used by Aaron Copland in his Ballet “Appalachian Spring”). We feel it’s an especially appropriate mash-up because of our profound love and respect for the Hawaiian culture — a people who are so good at finding happiness in simplicity. As you probably could hear we borrowed a lot of ideas from Iz’s version which has become the stuff of legend. This arrangement is, in part, a tribute to him. Getting a piano onto a sandy beach and then onto a big hill in a famous ranch within the SAME day (we only had 8 hours to film) was no

Kanani Goes to Hawaii- A Full Travel Vlog of Our Stay in O’ahu!

***PLEASE READ*** This video is mostly the Lu’au lengthwise, and you could skip to 26:06 if you don’t want this video being a half hour. Kanani and Lizzie got to Hawaii! While in O’ahu, they visit the Pearl Harbor SS Missouri, go boogie boarding, try shave ice (yes, it is different than a snow cone or italian ice), go Paddle Boarding, attend Paradise Cove lu’au, and go snorkeling! Notes about our trip: – This actually took place a couple weeks ago, but my computer was broken so I couldn’t finish editing it right away -I had to edit 1 HOUR of footage. But, a lot of this video’s length is due to the Lu’au. You could always skip ahead of that (I provide the time to skip to) -Those “noisemaker-things” that the dancers shook in their hands are called “U’li U’ili Gourds.” Look familiar? They come with Kanani’s Lu’au Outfit! -Paddle Boarding is fun for the entire family! Anyone can do it, and you could also kneel if standing isn’t comfortable (my mom did that) -“Aloha” means “Hello,” “Goodbye,” and “Love” -“Mahalo” means “Thank you” -“Ohana” means “Family” (for all you Lilo and Stitch fans out there! Comment “OHANA” if you have read this far!) -We stayed in Waikiki at the Hilton Hawaiian Village: beautiful! There are shops and restaurants too, not just hotel buildings! -I also got to try “Poi,” a Hawaiian food that Kanani asks her cousin Rachel to try during her stay in Hawaii. Rachel doesn’t end up liking it. It’s not horrible in my opinion, it just doesn’t have much flavor

A Trip to Hawaii 7-2011

This is a collection of video I recorded in July of 2011, while I was on a trip to Oahu and the big island of Hawaii. I had a chance to visit many place on the two islands like the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, Sea Life Park, Black Sand Beach, and more. I have edited down the video to create this segment. I hope you enjoy it as much as I had shooting it.
