The Emergency Amateur Radio Club (EARC) of Hawaii took part in the 2010 ARRL Field Day event held across North America on the weekend of 26 and 27 June 2010. The EARC only ran field day on the 26th from 8 AM to 11 PM Hawaii Local Time. We had a great time, we also held a testing session where we had over 28 new license and upgrades issued. Thanks to all who made this event happen. Thanks to the LDS church for allowing us to use their property.

KH6IB and Florida
I was just looking through the spotting program I used and found this by accident. It was a Ham in Flordia, KJ4OIE, talking to another HAM and streaming it at the same time. I didn’t have my radio on, all the sound came from his radio through my computer. KJ4OIE started talking about a HAM in Hawaii, KH6IB, being on the net and trying to contact him. They never made contact but it was interesting becasue I could hear KH6IB from his radio.
