Okay, so Mr. Yagong is FOR geothermal expansion on Hawaii island but he is not for expansion to the rest of the Nation (State of Hawaii) because there are issues that still need to be resolved like having an emergency plan which by the way, the Puna district still does not have even though ORMAT has been operating a geothermal plant there for 20 years. What??? So he wants to make sure that people are involved in the process and that all the safety concerns are resolved.

What happened to the Hawaii Airfare wars?

Usually every year the first couple of weeks in Jan. brings a belated Christmas present in the way of airfare wars to Hawaii. While we’ve seen a few specials, the typical lower prices in airfare to Hawaii have been few and far between. United airlines typically has the most airfare left to Hawaii than any other major carrier. This year we have not seen the drop at all in their prices this year which is affecting the marketplace.
