The Waikikis were a Belgian instrumental band ( NOT Dutch as some people on YT may Think) from the early 1960’s to mid ’70’s , playing in the Hawaiian/exotica style which was very popular at that time all over the World. Credits for “Hawaii Calls” goes to the famous American composer and bandleader Harry Owens ( 1902-1986) .( read the Wikki for his intresting biography). This track on 33 rpm , was a Palette production , recorded in the « Madeleine » studio — Brussels, under arrangement of Willy Albimoor. Released by mfp records.
