Maui Prince Hotel

Located on Maluaka Beach, which is considered one of Maui's finest beaches, it is a very popular wedding site.

The Maui Prince Hotel is a lovely resort. It sits beside the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean where you can spy Humpback whales and swim with green sea turtles. Behind the resort are the foothills of the Haleakala Volcano.

The Maui Prince Hotel is on a secluded section of the coast. The hotel was built around an Asian meditation garden with waterfalls, streams, stone paths, and ponds filled with gold and red Koi, along with hidden alcoves for meditation. The grounds surrounding the hotel are surrounded by lush green lawns and tropical palms and other trees. Arriving guests receive a shell lei and cold oshibori (damp scented towel) to help refresh you after your travels.

The spacious rooms feature a traditional island-style décor and include seating areas with two chairs and table and large furnished lanais. Bedding is either one king or two doubled beds. Amenities include bathrobe, pay-for-view-movies, Cable TV, VCR, complimentary coffee and tea, voice mail, free use of in-room safe, mini-refrigerator with complimentary bottled water and a small basket of island treats in your room upon arrival.

The Maui Prince Hotel has a nonsmoking policy for all guestrooms. They have designated several public smoking locations as well as a limited number of guestrooms where smoking is allowed on the outdoor lanai only. (If available these are assigned at check in.)

There are several dining choices at the hotel, including the Prince Court, voted the "Best Hotel Restaurant on Maui", featuring contemporary island cuisine. Hakone is an excellent Japanese restaurant and the hotel's Sunday Champagne Brunch has won numerous awards. There is Café Kiowai for casual open air breakfast and lunch dining, the Poolside Snack Bar and the Makena Clubhouse Restaurant overlooking the 10th hole of the South Golf Course. Three nights a week, the hotel plays host to the Maui Sunset Luau with an all-you-can-eat-buffet and wonderful Polynesian show.

The Maui Prince Hotel is unique in owning their own golf course, the Makena, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Guests receive discounted green fees. The Maui Prince Hotel also has a putting green and 6 Plexipave tennis courts (2 lit for night play). There is both a medium sized pool and a children's swimming pool. And then there is the beach. You can snorkel with exotic tropical fish, swim with turtles, or simply float on your back and watch the palms sway in the breeze. The hotel is also home to the Maui Prince Keiki Club a popular children's program, available for children ages 5 to 12.

If you are looking for a serene and relaxing atmosphere, excellent service and a wonderfully quite location, it’s difficult to beat the Maui Prince Hotel. It is ideal for both the more active traveler who wants to swim with sea turtles, take nature hikes, explore tidal pools, and do some serious snorkeling and yet it’s just as ideal for the traveler who appreciates walks along the beach, serenity, sunsets, or perhaps just simply sitting in a garden contemplating that life really can be this beautiful.
