Kahaluu Bay – Kailua Kona, Hawaii – May 18, 2012

This is a good snorkeling spot near Kailua Kona. The video isn’t as sharp as it should be. I am told that underwater video recorded on GoPro cameras is out of focus because the portion of the waterproof housing that covers the lens is curved. This curved part distorts the image. There is an aftermarket fix that consists of a replacement housing that is flat over the lens area but it retails for more than 1/3 the cost of the GoPro. Unless you have plenty of $’s I recommend waiting for GoPro to fix the design flaw. Special thanks to Jason and Joseph for the snippet. Aloha !

What type of baby birds are these ? Do U Know ?

Do you know the type of birds these might be ? Curious me….. I took this video when I happened to see that a little nest with some tiny creatures moving about were nestled along the balcony railing …..not a very safe area for a nest considering all the Hawaiian hawks i’o and Hawaiian owls pueo cruising overhead .
