After all, what good is a photo that’s sitting on my computer? What to do and Where to Stay in Hawaii part 1:Kona side of the Big Island

The big island, Hawaii has two major sides. The dry side is Kona and the wet is Hilo. There is a lot to do and see and a car rental is a good idea. Although the car rental agencies don’t want you to do this, the Saddle road through the center of the island is now paved and just not a problem to drive. Also, an ordinary car can make it up Mauna Kea to the observatories. Coming down you need to to use a low gear or you will over heat the breaks.
