Kanani Goes to Hawaii- A Full Travel Vlog of Our Stay in O’ahu!
***PLEASE READ*** This video is mostly the Lu’au lengthwise, and you could skip to 26:06 if you don’t want this video being a half hour. Kanani and Lizzie got to Hawaii! While in O’ahu, they visit the Pearl Harbor SS Missouri, go boogie boarding, try shave ice (yes, it is different than a snow cone or italian ice), go Paddle Boarding, attend Paradise Cove lu’au, and go snorkeling! Notes about our trip: – This actually took place a couple weeks ago, but my computer was broken so I couldn’t finish editing it right away -I had to edit 1 HOUR of footage. But, a lot of this video’s length is due to the Lu’au. You could always skip ahead of that (I provide the time to skip to) -Those “noisemaker-things” that the dancers shook in their hands are called “U’li U’ili Gourds.” Look familiar? They come with Kanani’s Lu’au Outfit! -Paddle Boarding is fun for the entire family! Anyone can do it, and you could also kneel if standing isn’t comfortable (my mom did that) -“Aloha” means “Hello,” “Goodbye,” and “Love” -“Mahalo” means “Thank you” -“Ohana” means “Family” (for all you Lilo and Stitch fans out there! Comment “OHANA” if you have read this far!) -We stayed in Waikiki at the Hilton Hawaiian Village: beautiful! There are shops and restaurants too, not just hotel buildings! -I also got to try “Poi,” a Hawaiian food that Kanani asks her cousin Rachel to try during her stay in Hawaii. Rachel doesn’t end up liking it. It’s not horrible in my opinion, it just doesn’t have much flavor …
